Latest update for school

I am sure you will have heard the government’s plans of how they are proposing for more children to return to school.  The plan is that year 6 will be the first year group back, at the earliest this will be from 1st June, although it is important to say that Boris Johnson stated this was the earliest possible date.  For this to happen we have been told this will be dependent on all of the Five Step Tests being met and on the continued downward trend of COVID19 related deaths and reported cases.

We are awaiting from further guidance from the government on Monday 11th May so that we are able to carry out school specific risk assessments relating to the safety of children, staff and our individual building issues.  We will keep you updated throughout and appreciate that you may have questions yourselves which we may be unable to answer at present. Rest assured we look forward to the day when we can welcome all the children back into school.

We will continue to open for children of Key Workers and children falling in to the vulnerable category.  This category has not changed, nor has the list of key workers. If you feel you fall into one of these categories please contact the school office for a form to complete.

If you have any questions or we can help in any way please contact school via email enquiries@hallamfields.derbyshire.sch.uk or phone 0115 9322568

Remember we have updated the website with this week’s work, sports activities and a new keeping healthy page with suggested activities.  Take care, we miss you all.
