We are very excited that on 22nd March we will be having a virtual author visit from Tom Palmer to celebrate the publication of his recently published book, After the War.
Reading stories about the First and Second World Wars is a great way of understanding how such cataclysmic events affected ordinary people and why they did what they did. Tom Palmer has written award winning books like Armistice Runner, D-Day Dog and After the War, all centred around little know stories. His research helps him to understand what war does to people.
Below are just some of the other books that Tom has written.
Not only will the children get to hear all about Tom and be inspired by his stories but there will also be a Q&A session and the opportunity to buy a signed copy of Tom’s books. Details of how you can purchase books will be sent out via the office.
We are really looking forward to meeting Tom and hearing all about his stories, it promises to be an exiting and inspiring day!
